My Background

Stephanie Sylverin is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), a birth-worker and women's wellness advocate. She is certified in Fertility, Pregnancy, Labor and Postpartum massage.  Trained by Claire Miller of Nurturing the Mother. She serves as a back-up Doula exclusively for A Womban's Place.

As a mother of four, through her own birth experiences (two homebirths and two hospital births) she recognized the need for loving support through the childbirth process and began working with Doulas to provide intuitive and licensed massage for pregnant and laboring women as a birth-worker. She has a passion for and is dedicated to doing her part to raise the standard of care for women's maternal health and wellness.

As a woman of Haitian descent; she is carrying on the Haitian tradition of postpartum care by offering Bain Fey postpartum ritual. She is excited to offer this beautiful postpartum tradition that will help to fortify and re-balance women after birth.

My Approach

I am an intuitive healing Massage Therapist Like Bob Marley said,  "Who feels it knows it." People always ask if I do Reiki and the short answer is no. What I do is  intentional energy healing accompanied by therapeutic touch/ massage anchored in a firm knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology to the soundtrack of carefully curated playlists. I add in sound healing with tuning forks for a little razzle dazzle. It’s more than a massage and more than Reiki.
